Is the only side-scrolling RPG brawler featuring explosive arcade-style combat, and real-time synchronous PvP action.

 

Duties: Entry Level Designer

  • Level blockout

  • Ai Combat Design

  • Lead a pod of artists, animators, and engineers to bring to create AI

  • Documentation for updated features, levels, and new enemies.

Level Layouts

Levels were your basic side-scrolling fighting arenas. Each arena had a blood gate, where you needed to kill all of the enemies in order to move on to fight the boss at the end. I even scripted levels to move in never-ending horizontal or vertical, like an elevator or tram system, where the boss is waiting at the end.

Combat Design

Designing some of the enemies’ combat for ChornoBlade was the part of my job that I always looked forward to doing. Bosses were set up to the standard 3 stage boss fights. As the player did more and more damage the fighting would start to get more and more intense.
